Starting in the spring of 2018, a new Vienna House hotel will be built in Liechtenstein in the municipality of Schaan, an economic centre in the country. The hotel will feature contemporary trends in all areas with a focus on new bar and restaurant concepts. An urban gardening project is also planned.

The construction of the latest addition to the Vienna House brand is planned to begin in the spring of 2018, with the hotel comprising 162 rooms and suites. The project is being overseen by real estate developers Forol Holding AG and Annagh Establishment, with the scheduled time period for completion 18 months and costs totalling CHF 40 million.

The new Vienna House Drei Schwestern will be conveniently located between the four nations of Liechtenstein, Switzerland, Austria and Germany. The hotel’s central location will position it as a hub for businesses and international companies in the region including: Swarovski, Ivoclar Vivadent and Hilti. Vienna House Drei Schwestern will seek to offer a range of facilities to cater for tourists, business travellers and local residents.

The hotel will showcase the region’s impressive alpine landscapes with the hotel taking its name from the nearby mountain range Drei Schwestern (‘The Three Sisters’). Hanno Konrad, from the management of construction client Annagh, comments on the pioneering hotel project and its unique trends: “We spent several years working on the design and development of the Drei Schwestern hotel project in Schaan. Thanks to the partnership with Forol of Switzerland, we have now managed to further align the project to the needs of the market in Liechtenstein and the surrounding region and to include current trends. The many years of experience of the team at Forol, coupled with the regional know-how and establishment of Annagh in Liechtenstein, are a guarantee for the sustainability of this project.”

  • Innovative Room Design

The design of the rooms and suites will incorporate elements of modern Liechtenstein as well as nearby natural features. The bathrooms are designed to resemble a private spa with premium facilities. The rooms feature intelligent lighting to help create a pleasant atmosphere.

  • Regional cuisine

The tavern-style restaurant with a winter garden will showcase the best of the area’s local produce including grilled meats, fish and vegetarian delicacies, complemented by Austrian classics such as Wiener Schnitzel and Tafelspitz. A terrace and garden are planned as an oasis for the summer months, as well as being ideal for weddings, after-work get-togethers or a Sunday brunch.

  • Urban Gardening

A focus at Vienna House Drei Schwestern is sustainability, with the establishment of an urban garden project. The garden will allow guests to pick fresh berries for breakfast, harvest fresh fruit and vegetables for a quick snack, or sponsor a tree. The project aims to encourage a greener approach to hospitality.
