Las Colinas Golf & Country Club has been successfully shortlisted among Spain and Europe’s elite for this year’s World Travel Awards™, named in both Spain’s Leading Villa Resort and Europe’s Leading Villa Resort categories. The awards support, promote and develop the global travel and tourism industry by identifying and rewarding excellence.
The ‘Leading Villa Resort’ category rewards those resorts that not only offer world-class facilities but that also provide additional attractions and services, all integrated with cutting edge designed property.
On Las Colinas’ nomination, Cristobal Guerrero, Managing Director commented: “We are delighted to be shortlisted for such prestigious awards, which reflects our successful year in 2014, selling the majority of our new luxury villas in the Enebro Community.
“Our recognition here brings together the stunning architectural design of our properties, food and beverage offerings and exclusive list of new leisure experiences. This shows the popularity of Las Colinas for travellers and second home owners.”
The new luxury villas on site have been designed by renowned architects Woods Bagot and positioned at the heart of the development within the Enebro Community. Three different villa types of 3- or 4-bedrooms are available, all blending seamlessly into the natural surroundings, with superb views across the golf course and towards the coast.
Las Colinas Golf & Country Club will look to maintain winning ways at this year’s World Travel Awards having picked up the Golf Resort accolade in the International Hotel & Property Awards last year.
The resort, located south of Alicante in 330 hectares of Mediterranean woodland, has become a leader in attracting international leisure visitors and second-home owners to the region since its opening in 2010.
In addition to giving rise to one of Continental Europe’s Top 100 Courses, the tranquil setting is also home to a Golf Academy, tennis and paddle tennis courts and gymnasium.
Away from sport, Las Colinas Golf & Country Club also boasts an ocean front beach club, the International School of Falconry, renowned Japanese restaurant ‘enso sushibar’, nature trails through 200,000 square metres of natural space and Las Colinas Experiences that emphasise the stunning natural beauty of the surrounding region.
Voting is now open to the general public and runs until 26th July 2015. The winners will be announced at the star-studded awards ceremony held in Sardinia on 5th September 2015.
